Thousands of Americans converged on Washington D.C. today to protest the Health care legislation currently under consideration in the Senate. Just a few of the many speakers included Michelle Bachman, Laura Ingram, Dick Armey, Louis Gommert, Tom Coburn, and more. [
The speakers acknowledged the gains made by regular Americans using their freedom to protest. Freedom provided by those who have fought and died earning and protecting it. The patriots were reminded that Barack Obama expected the Health Care Bill to be on his desk by August, then the deadline moved into September, then October, and now…before Christmas. Nancy Pelosi wants a Christmas “present” for America.
According to Rasmussen, “Fifty-six percent (56%) of U.S. voters now oppose the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats.” Congress continues in its attempts to force Americans to take a Health Care sytem they don’t want.
The rally lasted about 2 hours. Laura Ingram first rallied the crowdn, then led them with a moment of silence for the thousands of embryos that will be aborted, and for the thousands of Senior Citizens whose Health Care will be adversely affected.
The people that demonstrated in Washington weren’t community organizers. Attendees used out of pocket expenses to afford this trip. Many expressed the sentiment that they considered the trip to Washington an investment in the future of America and well worth the cost.
