The Suicidal Jew: Has the lesson of “Never Again” been forgotten?  | read this item

December 29, 2009

My Hebrew name is Chaim Yitzak and I reached my Bar Mitzvah in the early 1970’s.  Although I cannot claim to have coined it, the phrase Suicidal Jew, is both poignant and brilliant.  It applies to today’s Jew who voted for the rhetorical hope and change,  yet is unable to or unwilling to actually think about the change that is coming their way.  So when Mr. Obama said he would bring “fundamental transformation to America” what change was he speaking of?  When confronted with facts about Obama’s radical associations’ people turned a blind eye.  Bill Ayers an unrepentant terrorist: the EXCUSE was that just because he knew a terrorist didn’t mean he was one.  Reverend Wright a racist anti-Semite:  the EXCUSE was that Obama never actually heard those sermons.  With these excuses, the suicidal Jew continued to bury their heads in sand, no matter what questionable relationships or issues stood before Obama.

On the campaign trail, Mr. Obama told us to judge him by the people he surrounds himself with.  So let’s look at some of those people.

1.Cass Sunstein, the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs Czar: believes that animals, like rats, should be represented by human lawyers.  He also believes that individuals should not have complete freedom of choice concerning speech and communication (e.g. government censorship).

2. Van Jones the former Green Jobs Czar: an avowed communist and the founder of a radical group in Oakland called STORM (Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement).  This group received training from a group called WORC (Workers Organizing to Rid us of Capitalism) and “had a political commitment to the fundamental ideas of Marxism-Leninism.”

3. John Holdren, Science Czar: advocated long term sterilizing capsules, pondered sterility chemicals in the water supply, and believed that this would “open additional possibilities for coercive (emphasis mine) fertility control.”

4. Anita Dunn, former communications director:  At a high school commencement in 2009 Mrs. Dunn explained that her “two favorite political philosophers were Mother Teresa and Mao Zse Tung,” the dictator who killed 70 million Chinese.  Would there have been an actual outcry if she chose Hitler instead of Mao?  Is there a difference?  Are 70 million Chinese worth less than 6 million Jews?

5. Ron Bloom, Manufacturing Czar: In February 2008 Bloom said, “the free market is nonsense”, and “we kind of agree with Mao that political power comes from the barrel of a gun.”

6. Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel Health Care Czar:  In 1996, Emanuel wrote “conversely, services provided to individuals who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens are not basic and should not be guaranteed.    Or how about “… treating 65 year olds differently because of stereotypes or falsehoods would be ageist; treating them differently because they have already had more life-years is not.”  In 1949, Dr. Leo Alexander illustrated how the Nazi’s asked Dutch doctors to accept a similar concept during the occupation of Holland.  The ideas of the Nazi’s and Emanuel’s are strikingly parallel:  Men playing G-d.

7. Former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich, a member of Obama’s economic transition advisory board:  stated it even more straightforward, “we are going to have to, if you’re very old, we’re not going to give you all that technology and all those drugs for the last couple of years of your life to keep you maybe going for another couple of months.  It’s too expensive, so we’re going to let you die.

Every year at Rosh Hashanah Jews read the following:  …how many shall pass away and how many shall be born;  who shall live and who shall die;  … who shall perish by fire and who by water….  But repentance, prayer and righteousness avert the severe decree.  So how can Jews accept life and death decisions by bureaucrats, rather than G-d?  How do they vote for politicians (and the Democratic Party) who advocate taking G-d’s role?

So what are the excuses that the suicidal Jew has for these and other radical advisors to the President of the United States?  Shouldn’t the suicidal Jew judge these people, as Obama asked?  It is quite apparent that these Czars and advisors are opposed to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, as endowed by our Creator.  They believe in strong state control.  How have Jews faired under strong state controlled governments?

A conservative talk show host has stated on numerous occasions, “Now is the time to think like a Jew in 1930’s Germany.”  Although I agree with 95% of what this man says, this statement is dead wrong.  Imagine the excuses that most Jews made in spite of increased anti-semitic rhetoric and action during the rise of the Nazi’s.  “Hitler is just a crazy guy.  No one will listen to him.  He won’t be around long, and he’ll never really do the things he is saying.” According to some authors, opposition to Hitler was initially restricted to a small minority of people who had a special instinct for recognizing the evils which lurked beneath the surface of Nazi drive.

I am certainly NOT being critical of those Jews who made excuses.  I imagine myself, a father of three, with a business or career, with kids happy in their life, in their school.  Do I take the words of this Austrian seriously and upset the lives of my family and leave?  What if my instincts are wrong and Hitler’s words are merely that?  Would I have uprooted my family and thrown away a comfortable life for nothing?  The decision would have been agonizing!

Yet, just as the majority of Jews did in 1930’s Germany, today’s Jews made excuses rather than ask tough questions, despite having the benefit of history.  Shouldn’t these excuses be a red flag?  Shouldn’t Jews have learned to watch our leaders carefully, to watch what they say, and to watch who is advising them?  Shouldn’t they have learned to take these things seriously? Shouldn’t this be the lesson of never again?

Barack Obama appears to be the second most successful deceiver of all time. For a while he had the World fooled. For a while, he had Israel fooled. For a while, he had our enemies puzzled. And even now, he still has many Americans fooled.

You mentioned past atrocities, but unfortunately people easily forget. Maybe this is a defense mechanism, or maybe our nature is to forgive others? Either way, Barack Obama’s teleprompter says one thing, but his actions demonstrate another.

So here we are…our President is Barack Hussein Obama.

  2. dougaudirsch says:

Very nice article Chaim. I appreciate your perspective and agree with your assertions. I don’t think we should be thinking like a Jew from the 1930s. We should be thinking from a perspective of learning from that era. Whether Jew or Gentile, no one should have to live under tyranny and that is precisely where this administration’s version of liberal fascism is taking us. I hope to read more of your stuff!

  3. PooPoo13 says:

Fascism? Really? I would be really curious to know what you and the rest of the neo-GOP would define as “Fascism.” Clearly it’s not defined by the use of secret prison camps, torture, stripping of habeus corpus, unilateral invasion and looting of sovereign nations, glorification of the ruling class, fear propaganda and the corporate state… because you guys have spent the last decade PROMOTING those things.

Otherwise there is nothing new about any of this, it’s the same FoxNewsy blather as before (Obama’s associates are devil-worshippers, Obama is Hitler and he gasses unbaptised babies, blah blah blah blah), just from different lips. Just ’cause you’re Jewish doesn’t make this accusation any more Kosher.
